A cabinet full of surprises awaits visitors to the Picnic Scene. Wind-up, mechanical, musical and novelty bears made of plush, fur, wood, ceramics, metal and moss! Be sure to see the magnificent polar bear made in France by Descamps around 1930. When wound, his mouth opens and closes as he pours himself a cup of wine. Other treasures include a little Japanese bear which turns the pages of a picture-book, a bear made in the Soviet Union around 1955 which can play the balalaika and a violin playing bear.
